ON FEBRUARY 15TH, NORTH LAMAR ISD BOARD OF TRUSTEES VOTED 7-0 TO CALL FOR A BOND ELECTION
In 2016, a Facilities committee made up of community members, parents, and district personnel helped create a plan for the bond and presented it to the board. This year, the process began in July by hosting Town Hall meetings to gather input and information from all of the community. The district held a total of four Town Hall meetings between July and December at Higgins Elementary and one at Bailey Intermediate. Tours were provided to those who attended. This provided everyone an opportunity to see the buildings, provide input, and voice their concerns. Based on the information received from the Town Hall meetings, Higgins and Bailey were identified as the top priority.
